Love Island’s Sharon Gaffka ‘open to a relationship with a woman’ after sexuality discussion
Sharon Gaffka has previously discussed her sexuality while in the Love Island villa and has now admitted that she would not decline the chance to date a woman
Sharon Gaffka has said that she would be open to having a relationship with a woman after previously discussing her sexuality in the Love Island villa.
The 25-year-old, who works for the Department of Transport as well as starring in the ITV2 dating show over the summer, has said that she is “questioning myself” because she has not taken the plunge and dated a woman.
Since being thrust into the public eye, after her stint in the villa, Sharon has said that she has found it hard to get back into the dating game but is keen to meet a new partner.
Speaking to a new! magazine in a chat with The Only Way Is Essex star Bobby Norris, Sharon opened up about her thoughts on finding someone to love.
She said: “I think if I met somebody and I really liked that person, then I would. But because I never have, I’m questioning myself.”
The reality star continued: “I genuinely wanted to meet somebody in the villa and I do now.
“As an Asian, mixed-race woman, dating can be very s**t. Especially when you’re a race that is hyper-sexualized and fetishized in pornography.”
Sharon said that she had experimented in a threesome in the past to find out if it was girls or boys that she liked.

Speaking to Metro Online, Sharon said that she opened up to Faye while in the villa: “I had a conversation with Faye about it and she asked, ‘Are you bisexual?’ And I said, ‘It’s something I’ve explored but I’ve never been in a relationship with a woman.’
“A lot of the conversations I had about modern dating on the show were never aired, but I was very open about sexuality and being a mixed-race woman in modern dating.”
